Obituary of Yevgeniy Dyba
Yevgeniy "Jeka" Dyba, 67, of Monroe Township, passed away on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2015. He was born and raised in Ukraine before moving to the United States in 1993. In the USSR, he was a highly ranked three-star decorated police Colonel and head investigator for the city of Ivano-Frankovsk with over 33 years of dedicated service. He had both a keen eye and sense of intuition that made him an important asset to the Ukrainian Government. Jeka was an active student and scholar with a strong affinity for history. He was a trustworthy man of his word. It was Jeka's unique sense of humor that made him the man that will always be remembered. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, watching soccer, and cooking borscht. Jeka's biggest passion was his family that will always remain closest to his heart. Yevgeniy is survived by his beloved wife of over 40 years, Ludmila "Lucy" Dyba; a son, Alexander Dyba, and his wife Anna, of Brooklyn, a daughter, Julia Haaland, and her husband John, of Millstone Twp.; six grandchildren, Dimitri Skorych, 21, Anastasia Dyba, 20, Natalee Haaland, 13, Solvay Haaland, 8, Jonas Haaland, 4, and Lucas Haaland, 4, and a dear friend Felipe Coello to who was like a son to him. A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, November 6, 2015 from 5:00 and 9:00 PM and Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 12:00 to 4:00 PM with his funeral service to be held at 1:00 PM.
