Condolences
I just heard this very, very sad news and I am struggling to come to terms with the loss of Noreen. I met Noreen at Tektronix where we worked together for several years and became close friends. We continued our friendship for several years even after I moved to Poughkeepsie, NY and then to Jacksonville, FL. We lost touch over last few years and I had no idea that she was ill. To Jess & Billy, you would not remember me because you were very young when I last visited you but please know that I am terribly sorry for your loss. Your mother was a very loyal and dear friend who was a ton of fun to be around. Please feel free to email me if you need anything at all. To Noreen's brothers and sisters-in-law, I am so, so terribly sorry for your loss. We spent many a summer at her 'shore-house' and I cherish every one of the memories. Please know that there are many whose lives Noreen touched and we are all fortunate to have had her in our lives. Whenever I would hear a Springsteen song, I would think of Noreen and I will continue to do so for the rest of my days.
I will miss Aunt Noreen very deeply. I will always remember her laugh and smile. My parents always tell me stories of how she wore open toed shoes during a blizzard in Michigan when she came to be my Godmother. She was there at some of the events that stand out most in my mind, like when the hall burnt down at my Communion party (we had a blast!) I am glad that she got to meet my daughter, Elizabeth, and I look forward to sharing stories of my Aunt Noreen with my daughter as she grows. Jessica and Bill, I am very sorry for your loss.
Dear Jess and Bill, It is hard for me to imagine the world without your Mom. She was such a wonderful person. I am remembering a time when we all got together for a weekend in the country. Your mom had a great time. We all gathered around the camp fire ( with a few brews). Using a beer bottle as a microphone your mom sang all the lyrics to "Rocky Racoon". lol Along with being a great mom, Noreen also had a wonderful sense of humor. We had many good times. I will remember her always. I am sure Ryan was there to meet her and that makes me happy. You both are a testament to her love and caring. I love you both. Aunt Maureen
My friend Noreen -- what a trooper! We loved having her visit and spend time at our home. She was a kind and sweet person who will be missed greatly. Our gourmet club will not be the same without her fabulous nacho dip and her great laugh. You will be with us always. Love, Linda, Jim and Kenna Rose
Noreen was such a special person who touched so many lives. Even while she was battling her illness, she took such sincere interest in our lives. She will be missed by so many. Our deepest sympathies go out to her family at this sad time. Sincerely, Eileen and Bob Barbieri
Dear Jessica, We are all saddended and are praying for you during this difficult time. Please let us know if we can do anything for you. Don, faculty, and staff of the QU PT Dept.
Noreen was such a strong, loving woman, and I feel privileged to have known her. My love and condolences to the Hennessy family.
I will always remember Noreen's courage as she battled her disease. She continued to be a positive force for the preschool disabled children in Freehold Township Schools, regardless of her illness. It was inspirational to know and work with her. Beverly Stern, Retired Head Nurse
