Obituary of Barbara Ann Gottmann

Barbara Ann Gottmann, 72, of Toms River passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 31, 2016. Born in Brooklyn, she was raised in Queens and in 1965 moved to New Jersey where she raised her family. Barbara made her living as a Loss Prevention Manager for JC Penney's in the Ocean County Mall. Her greatest joys were spoiling her grandchildren and a recent trip to Cooperstown to root and cheer while she proudly watched her grandsons play ball. She will be fondly remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Barbara is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Paul Gottmann of Toms River; her adoring children, Paul Mitchell Gottmann of Toms River, Kirsten Torres and her husband, Ray of Florida, and Kerry Howell and her husband, Jason of Toms River; and treasured grandchildren, Jessica Gottmann, Zachary Torres, Tyler Torres and Emma Howell. A visitation will be held at the Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main Street, Toms River on Thursday, August 4, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:30 PM with her 7:30 PM funeral service to follow at the funeral home.
