Obituary of Dominick Cusanelli
Dominick Cusanelli, 79, of Jackson passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 13, 2016. Dominick was born and raised in Brooklyn, raised his family in Old Bridge and settled in Jackson in 1999. A proud U.S. Army veteran, Dominick served during the Vietnam War. Dominick was an accomplished golfer who hit a hole-in-one on the 13th hole at Westlake Golf & Country Club. He enjoyed traveling to Aruba and Europe. He was the founder and president of the Italian American Club of Westlake and a parishioner of St. Aloysius Church, Jackson. A wonderful grandfather, Dominick loved his wine and enjoyed sitting on the beach in Avon-by-the-Sea and crabbing.
He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Diane Cusanelli, in 2008. Dominick is survived by his wife of 57 years, Yvonne Cusanelli of Jackson; three sons, Louis Cusanelli of Kingsville, TX, Patrick Cusanelli and his wife, Eileen, of Monroe, Robert Cusanelli of Jackson; one daughter, Christine Cusanelli and her husband, James, of Jackson; thirteen grandchildren, Louis, Dominick, Danielle, Patrick, Jessica, Cole, Jack, Kevin, Owen, Isabelle, Julianna, James and Natalie; five great grandchildren, Dominick, Avyanna, Sawyer, Oakley and Vincent; one sister, Caroline D'Alessio and her husband, Matthew, of Brooklyn; three nieces and one nephew.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 8:15 AM for the procession to his 9:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson.
