Dear Brown Family: I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Darlene at Oak Street School. I lost a dear friend the same age, with children, the same way about six months ago. Darlene and her friend Cathy were very helpful to me regarding my friend and we always kept each other informed on treatments etc. Above all Darlene was the most positive person I have ever met. We would run into each other in the hall and she was always smiling no matter what. We shared brief conversations that always ended on an up note. She also saw some of the students I worked with and was wonderful at her job. Darlene put up one hard fight and I know it was with all of your support. I am sure you already know all the great qualities she had because you are her loved ones but I think all of your love helped make her so special. I cannot imagine how your feeling now but even though it sounds cliche' time will ease some of the pain. Your hearts will hold Darlene forever and she'll be watching over all of you always. You are blessed with one tough little guardian angel. She will be missed at Oak Street School. Love Theresa
