Obituary of Darlene Brown
Darlene S. Brown, 46, of Howell, passed away Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009, at home. Mrs. Brown was born in Rahway, raised in Fanwood, and had lived in Matawan before moving to Howell 13 years ago. Mrs. Brown was a member of the Church of the Master, Howell. She received her undergraduate and master's degree in Speech Pathology, from Kean University. She was a member and former secretary of SEPAC. Mrs. Brown was a speech pathologist for the Lakewood Board of Education at the Oak Street School for the past eight years. Prior to that, she worked at McCauley School, Watchung for 18 years.
Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband, Richard T.; a son, Richie Brown, at home; a daughter, Allison Brown, at home; her parents, Felix and Angelina DeFabio of Fanwood; and a sister, Karen DiFabio of Fanwood.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16 at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17 at the First United Methodist Church of Farmingdale, 8 Main St., Farmingdale.
