Condolences
The memories i have with my Papa are filled with fun times and lazy days. When i used to live in River Vale he only lived a mile away so i got to see him all the time. I remember raking the millions of leaves with him and my Nanny, and helping him bring the buckets of the multicolored leaves to the road to be picked up. Also, i remember laying on a lounge chair with him on my deck looking at the clouds, picking out what each one looked like, and closing our eyes for ten seconds and then looking at how much they changed in that amount of times. One thing that i will never forget about him, is the stories he used to tell me. He told me all about child hood and how it was to live in the city. We would take long walks around the neighborhood and then come back in to eat graham crackers with milk. My grandfather also had a very good sense of humor. He would also say things like, "wow this weighs a ton" when he picked up a coat, or "you're a funny man." These are only some of the things that I am going to miss about my Papa. I'll always miss you, and think about you all the time. See you later alligator.
My papa,Was a fun Person. I remember when we used to watch Baseball games together and watch the clouds go by,he always used to say they looked like cars or animals! One Day I was playing football in the back yard with him, He would say, "You have a strong arm Good Girl!" We All miss Charles Branley, or as I like to say Papa!
My brother is at peace. Hail Mary full of grace and my brother is with his heavenly father. Please remember us in your prayers. I live 1300 miles away in New Orleans LA. But my heart and prayers are with you all James Robert Branley
we were so sorry to hear the news about Uncle Charlie. In looking over the pictures that Mom and Dad took it seemed there were alot of good memories. Our families spent many summers having fun at the lake.I will always remember how Uncle Charlie loved his ham radio and would tell us that he spoke to people all over the world. I also remember that Uncle Charlie loved Aunt Mary's delicious cakes. The last special memory I have of Uncle Charlie was him dancing with Aunt Mary at Kelly's wedding to "Danny Boy". We will all miss him very much. Love, Sis
I am so sorry for your loss. I know you were all blessed to have had a wonderful husband, father and grandfather in your lives for a long time. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time.
I left New York when I was 5 and grew up in the west, so didn't really get to meet Aunt Mary and Uncle Charlie until my adult years. I went to visit them in New Jersey a couple of times, and Uncle Charlie and I used to e-mail one another on a regular basis. I have missed that contact over the years as he discontinued his "on line" life. I have yet to meet my cousins from this part of the family. I now live in Falling Waters, WV, and hope to be able to establish contact with the family. My love to Aunt Mary, and to you all, I loved Uncle Charlie for his warm and welcoming manner, his wonderful sense of humor, and for the strong and upright man of honor that he was.
Dear Mary & Family, Charlie was a wonderful man and a great "Papa" to Melissa & Matt. Take comfort in knowing he is now in a better place. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time. Love, Tricia
My grandfather, also called "Papa" by his grandchildren, was a great man and will certainly be missed by all that knew him and loved him. He was very intelligent, hard working, and well respected by all. He was a great grandfather, father, husband, brother, and it would have been an honor to have introduced him to my children in the coming years as their "Great-Grandfather." I smile when I recall the days in his office in Rivervale where he would use his HAM radio and we would talk to people all over the world... before the Internet! He was also sending emails before they were mainstream! I also remember his computers that he would completely disassemble and put them back together so that they ran better. He was definitely influential in my love for technology. I also remember raking leaves during the fall as a family in their big yard, although I probably didn't appreciate it enough at the time. I recall all the silly songs he would sing and the music he would listen to. Charles Branley was a strong man and a fighter to the end. Thank you for all the great memories and for being my role model. We love you and will miss you and you'll always be in our prayers. God bless.
We will miss you papA. So many good memories Love, Melissa
