To the children and grandchildren and great grandchildren of Gaetana: I have fond memories of her. As a teenager/young woman, I can recall many times being at her home on DeWitt Avenue in Belleville, while "romping" with Josephine. Somehow, whenever she knew I'd be there a plate of chicken cutlets were always on the counter, and she would say, eata, eata, while Marco, before his death, would insist I have a glass of wine. But the message I really want to convey is the connection I felt with her, somehow despite the language barrier, we connected. If it were a family function or simply being at her home, she would take my face her hands and say Jeana, Jeana, Jeana. I felt the bond and I know she did too. As I read her obituary I couldn't help but think, how much as a family, you have to celebrate her life, and how fortunate she was to have her family rally at her side as she passed. It is my hope that as you mourn her death, you celebrate her life. She was a wonderful woman. With Love, Jeannie MacConchie
