Barbara, family members, and friends, May the love you have shared with David warm your heart and continue to be everlasting. Edna
To the Caseys, Sorry for your trouble. Dave and I never met, but when I first stepped on the NRR site, we shared an eloquent silent greeting. Yes, I will say I was honored to know him, because it only took a moment to take the measure of the man who was Dave Casey, and in that instant, he welcomed me, put me at ease, and offered me a compass for this new experience in my own life. God bless him and keep him. Sincerely, Mary Ellen Sweeney
We cannot drive over the Navesink River without looking for and missing Dave. He was a great inspiration to both of us as we learned to row three years ago. Typically, we met Dave when he was coming off the river and we were launching our boats for our morning sessions. His reports on conditions were useful, although we had to apply the "Casey Factor" to our interpretations of them: Dave usually considered the water row-able, even when the winds were close to gale force and the waves were white-capping. His love for the sport was infectious, and his spirit was contagious. We will miss him sorely. Please know that even though we cannot get to the wake or the funeral, we hold Dave and his family close in our prayers. We know that Dave must be rowing fast and rowing hard toward his final resting place in heaven.
