Obituary of Frank Nunes

Frank Nunes, 75, of the Villages, Freehold Township passed away on Tuesday, March 09, 2010 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Mr. Nunes was born in Hackensack and lived his whole life in Garfield before retiring to the Villages in 2001. Frank retired as a warehouse manager at Roofing Sales Company, East Rutherford. Most recently, he worked part time for the D. P. W in Hightstown. Frank was a U.S. Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 147, Elmwood Park. Frank was a member of the Howell Senior Friendship Club. He was predeceased by his four sisters: Marie, Allie, Rita and Dolores. Frank is survived by his wife, of 55 years, Marilyn (nee Closterman); their four daughters: Deborah and her husband, Tom Dolan of Long Beach Township, Lorrie and her husband, Dave DeLorenzo of Sayreville, Sandy and her husband, Kevin Fitzgerald of Oak Ridge, and Pam and her husband, Len Calabrese of Aberdeen; and six grandchildren: Rachel, Lenny, Danny, Vinny, Kimberly and Keith. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, March 11, 2010 from 12:00 Noon until 3:30 PM with his funeral service to follow at 3:30 PM.
