Condolences
I met Donald wondering how could a guy be so nice, sweet, gentle, and non-argumentative. Then I met Mr. Holly - Donald takes after his Dad.
I met Mr. Holly at the famous PortHolly's cookie party. Mr. Holly told us at the start that true bakers never messed their aprons. At the end of the baking cookies day, Mr. Holly's apron was spotless; everyone else's aprons were a mess! He told the baking group about the difference in sugar back in the days as compared to todays sugar. He showed me what true creaming of sugar and butter meant.
I know Mr. Holly is smiling - his children are wonderful and he touched many lives in a very special way.
Don, My condolences to you and your family. I know that you were a great help to your Dad. Sincerely, John Ruch

Dear Donald, Billy, & Janet I just wanted to say i am so sorry for the loss of your dad. I believe he is in a much better place. I also wanted to say that i loved him very much and he was a wonderful person, and i will always miss him very dearly. I wanted to share some memories with you about your father. I used to love the way he knocked on the wall to call the cat. When i did his daily exercises with him, We used to count to ten together, But when he got to ten, He said "Your out". Kinda like his favorite baseball team, the Yankees.I wanted to share this one last memory with you guys. I used to say "bye Mr. Holly" and give him a big hug and kiss, and tell him " i will see you tomorrow". He would say to me how are you getting home? He would want to walk me all the way to my house to make sure i was safe. But i always reminded him that i had a car. My son Nicholas had a few memories with him to. He remembered the first time he walked in the house and Mr. Holly shook his hand kindly and asked him "Do you want breakfast"? He told Nicholas" You finish high school and you graduate".They also had conversations about guitars, Mr. Holly told my son he played bass guitar and asked Nicholas do you play any instruments & he replied "i do play guitar and i sing" He said keep up the good work! Nicholas wanted me to tell you, You had an amazing father that put a smile on both our faces. It's hard to find a special person like your dad. Love Always, Donna & Nicholas
