Obituary of William Holly

William J. Holly, 96, of Freehold Township passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at home. Mr. Holly was born in Guttenberg, New Jersey and had lived there until moving to Freehold. He was a baker for Guttenplan Bakery, Freehold and Long Branch. Mr. Holly was a member of the Train Collectors Association. He was a former member of the Boy Scouts of America and an Associate Scout Master for Troop #158, Freehold. He was predeceased by his wife, Irene, a brother, John and a sister, Lillian. Mr. Holly is survived by two sons, William J. Holly, Jr. of Freehold, and Donald G. Holly of Piscataway; and a daughter, Janet S. Holly of Natural Bridge, VA. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the funeral home on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Adelphia Cemetery.
