Obituary of Woodrow Scheidt

Woodrow W. "Woody" Scheidt, Jr., 67, of Farmingdale passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Mr. Scheidt was born in Neptune Township and was a life long resident of Farmingdale. He was an HVAC Supervisor for Buildings and Grounds in Monmouth County for over 30 years, retiring in 2004. His life was his family, friends and fishing. He was known for his wreaths and grave blankets that he made and sold annually from his home for over 50 years. Woody is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Scheidt of Farmingdale; three daughters: Denise Urig of Neptune City, Carol Ortiz of Farmingdale; and Lisa Scheidt of Farmingdale; nine grandchildren; one great grandson; and two sisters: Linda Sledge of High Point, NC and Sarah Jean Paradise of Farmingdale. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the funeral home on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Richards officiating.
