Condolences
What can I say about the most wonderful grandfather anyone could ever ask for? I was so blessed for many years to have my grandpa in my life. I am so proud that he was there to see me through many milestones in life. He will always hold a special place in my heart. I miss him very much but I know he is always with me. Thank you grandpa for everything you did for me, the sacrifices you made for your family and the lessons you taught us. I will never forgot how much you loved all of us. I'll be seeing you.

Gary, How very sorry I was to learn of your father's passing. You and your family have our deepest sympathy. How wonderful that he was able to live such a long and fruitful life and be part of your life for so many years. I'm sure that having his wisdom and love has been a great joy for you. Tom Brokaw has called your father's contemporaries "the greatest generation," and from what you shared with me about your father, I can understand what he is talking about. I think your father was a wonderful example of what Mr. Brokaw meant and he truly exemplified all the best qualities that define his generation - hard working, honest, strong, patriotic and family-oriented. From all the wonderful things you spoke about at the wake, it appears your father left you all with so many great memories that he will not soon be forgotten. His greatest legacy however will be in the wonderful family that he helped create and nurture. I know that a great deal of who he was will certainly live on in you and your family. May you find peace and comfort in the days ahead...take care my friend. With Love and Sympathy, Rich & Patricia Johnsen
I happened to come across the obituary in the Asbury Park Press. When I read Blythbourne Post Office, I knew this was my father Al's dear friend. I am very sorry for your loss. I still remember all of the trips to Nyack with the post office gang.It seems so long ago. I am sure that Lou will now join my dad in that better place and can reminisce and kibbutz together. Love Toni Esposito Casha

My heart felt condolences go to the family of Mr. Vitta. I am a personal and long time friend of his son Ronnie. My memories of Mr. Vitta are simple. He was a loving father and grandfather. A very warm and loving man. I remember being at his son's home when many times he would come early on a Sunday morning to see his grandchildren. He was always very nice to me...and my son as well. He will be missed by many as he will always be loved by many. R.I.P Mr. Vitta. xox
I always thought of him as an uncle. My early childhood years were filled with memories of him and the family. Nancy and I are greatly saddened that you are mourning your loss. Please celebrate the life he shared and rejoice that he is with God without any pain or suffering.
