Obituary of Joseph Montalto

Joseph A. Montalto, 77, of the Villages, Freehold, died on Monday, December 13, 2010 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Joseph was born in Brooklyn, NY and had lived there until moving to Freehold in 1985 and settling to the Villages in 2002. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Korea. Joseph was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, Time Square, NYC for 30 years retiring in 1989. He was predeceased by his brother, John. Joseph is survived by his wife of twenty years, Kathleen Montalto of The Villages, Freehold; a son, Bryant Kimber of Brooklyn, NY; a daughter, Raschelle Parker of Brooklyn, NY; two grandchildren, Royce and Camera; three brothers, Henry Montalto of Tampa, FL, Frank Montalto of Brooklyn, NY, and William Montalto of Whiting, NJ; and a sister, Carol Calo of Long Island, NY, five nieces, Marie and her Husband, John, Karen and her Husband, Mitchell, Lee Ann, Julie and her Husband, Glen, Lisa and Alexandra; four nephews, Andrew, Perry, Ricky and Steven and his wife, Jeannie; seven great nieces, Marie, Toni, Brittany, Nicole, Mallory, Jennifer and Courtney; and five great nephews, Noah, Matthew, Drew, Erik and Alessandro. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Freehold Church of Christ, 46 Strickland Road, Freehold Township, NJ on Saturday, December 18, 2010 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM with his funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 11:30 AM.
