Obituary of Charles Doherty

Charles P. Doherty, Jr., 55, of Howell Township passed away on Monday, December 27, 2010 at home. Mr. Doherty was born in Red Bank, grew up in Colonia and had lived there until moving to Huntington, Long Island, NY before settling to Howell. Charles was a graduate of Ducret School of Art, Plainfield and Parsons School of Design, New York City. He was an art director for Travel Agent Magazine, New York City for twenty years. Mr. Doherty is survived by his two daughters, Virginia and Shannon Doherty both of Huntington, Long Island, New York; his mother, Mary Doherty of Bayville; his brother, William Doherty of Millstone and his sister, Maureen Clausen of Bayville. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Friday, December 31, 2010 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM with his funeral service at 4:30 PM at the funeral home.
