Condolences
I met Dr. Rispoli at Centrastate Medical Center when I worked there as an RN 20 years ago. I not only had the good fortune of knowing him as a colleague, but in the capacity of therapist for my family. He was a kind, caring individual and will be missed by all of us. He was a good friend and extraordinary person. My deepest sympathy to the Rispoli family.
I first met Larry back in 1989 and felt I'd found a friend as well as someone to help our family. In my mind, I still think of him as friend as much as doctor. It was always so obvious how much he loved his whole family and he shared stories about you all and memories of your vacations. I also remember him from Pinelanders Soccer when our son was much younger. He truly was a very special man and will always be remembered. I so hope all your wonderful memories of him will help you through this very hard time.
With so many members of the Port Chester HS class of 1966 I had the pleasure of having Larry as a dear friend. Over the years many of us were fortunate to rekindle our relationship with Larry through our multiple high school reunions. I will remember Larry as bright, caring, fun loving and completlely committed to his family, profession and friends. I will also remember almost weekly Sunday pasta dinners at Larry's parents' home in Port Chester. These are still the gold standard by which I judge not only pasta meals but also food in general. Warmest regards to all of Larry's family and friends from one of many, many friends in the Port Chester HS class of 1966.
Dear Kathy and Family, I am deeply sorry for your loss. Enjoyed so much our time at our family reunion and connecting. It was so apparent that Larry was a devoted husband, father and son. A true loss to us all. It is hard to put this into words but just talking about things that day at the reunion it was so easy with Larry and I thought how much I wish we all lived closer. You are all in our prayers at this time. Love Dale and Joe (Bova)
Kathy, my thoughts are with you and your family. I knew Larry from the time he was just a Masters level therapist working toward his PhD at Jersey Shore. I was working at Brookdale Community College at the time and would place interns in his program. He was ALWAYS so accommodating and welcoming. When he started his practice it was a gift to have a "normal" person to refer people to!! He will be missed on so many levels and in so many ways. Not everyone leaves their mark on so many lives...Dr. Rispoli most certainly has.
Cathy and family, It is with great sadness that I received the news of Larry's passing this morning. Both Moshe and I extend our sincere condolences. Larry was such a special man. I learned so much from him during the eight years I was part of Freehold Psychology Group. I was so often calmed by his warm and comforting demeanor, and always felt so welcomed by him. He will be sorely missed.
Dr. Rispoli was a thoughtful man with a bright smile. Through the years of our association with Freehold Psychology Group you knew all of us by name and always gave us a happy and welcome greeting. We will miss that when we walk through those doors. Rest in peace Dr. Rispoli. The Hess Family.
We will be forever grateful to Larry for the opportunity he extended in helping me to become a partner in Freehold Psychology group. His clinical skills, astute business sense and friendship were priceless lessons extended over the past 19 years. During the course of his illness I was privileged for too short a time to have "Fridays with Larry" that I will treasure forever. Rest in peace "my buddy". Know that your legacy of Freehold Psychology Group will live on. Much love from, Dr. Cindy and John Mulligan
I extend my heartfelt sympathies to all of the Rispoli family. Time has moved on, but my memories of the children and of you, Cathy, have always stayed with me. May your memories help to comfort all of you in your time of sorrow. Love, Barbara Reed
Dear Cathy, Jessica, Megan and Michael, So, so sorry. It seems we connected such a short time ago and getting to know Larry and all of you from our most recent visits, and our most memorable and wonderful family reunion, was truly special. He was an extraordinary good man who touched so many and will continue to live on through all of you and surely watchover you. Our thoughts and prayers and good, good memories of Larry are with you at this most difficult time. With love - Jean, Greg, Mallory, Brian & Tristan
My deepest condolences to the Rispoli family and to his colleagues and friends. Larry was a true professional, fabulous family man and a dear friend. He brought peace and serenity to many who needed his help and guidance and he will be missed.
To Cathy, Jessica, Megan, Mike and the newest additions Brett and Maddie, I knew Larry( I always just called him The Rispoli), for 15 yrs. as his patient. Kids, your dad was so proud of all of you. Cathy, I enjoyed your cookies and he spoke with such love about you. He was always excited about vacations when you all could be together, and I thought he would burst when he knew he would be a grandpa. Rispoli helped me through some of the most difficult parts of my life and taught me how deal with hard parts when they came up again. We laughed a lot too and that was therapeutic in itself. And often after a session, I stopped at the Wegmans to get some ingredient or another to cook something he had given me a recipe or a tip on. I know you know this but he was a good man who shall be missed. May the love you shared and the love and care in which we held him surround you all in this very difficult time. Cheryl Soback
"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal." Cathy, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this terribly difficult time. So sorry!!
