Obituary of Josephine Benigno

Josephine M. Benigno, 80, of Boynton Beach, Florida and Manchester, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, Manhattan after a courageous battle with cancer. Josephine was born, raised and had lived in Brooklyn, New York until moving to Manchester and Boynton Beach. She was a homemaker. Josephine was predeceased by five brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her husband, Salvatore J. Benigno; two sons, Salvatore A. Benigno and his wife, Gail of North Bergen, NJ and Peter Benigno and his wife, Michele of Marlboro, NJ; two daughters, Nancy Barb and her husband, Perry of Manalapan, NJ and Joanna Benigno of Manhattan, NY; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a brother, Fred Cintorino of Florida. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township, on Thursday, February 17th, and Friday, February 18th, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM both days. Relatives and friends may gather at 9:00 AM on Saturday, February 19th, at the funeral home for the Rite of Committal followed by her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Twp., with the Rev. Robert Adamo officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Gabriel's Cemetery & Chapel Mausoleum, Marlboro, NJ.
