What can I say about my Grandmother, Doris Eaves that everybody doesn't already know? She was an amazing beautiful woman, someone I have always looked up to and admired. She always made me feel like I was so special. Weekend visits with my Grandparents were always amazing, they devoted themselves to all of us. You knew when you went to Grandma's she would always have your favorite foods, she would always tuck you in and say your prayers with you, she was always right there for you. She shared her lap with you, her heart, her shoulder and an endless supply of hugs and kisses.
As I grew up and realized that she was not only my Grandmother but her own woman as well I continued to be amazed by her strength and devotion to her family. She adored my Grandfather and he her, they showed me what true love looks like. She bore the burden of burying not one but two sons, this would have broken anyone but not my Grandma. She always carried on with love in her heart and a hand to anyone in need. She didn't wallow in her losses but embraced her gifts. She treasured each and everyone of her grandchildren. I don't think anyone of us would say we didn't feel like we were the most important person in the world when we were with our Grandparents.
I will love her forever and miss her just the same. I know that she is in heaven now with her parents, Fred and Clara, her husband Doyle Jackson, her sons Ronald and Gary and her great grandson Jackson.
