Although we did not know Mr. Kauffman personally, we often saw him at Mass. He always had a smile on his face and seemed to be a very nice man. We were sorry to hear of his passing. Sincerely, Jay and Nancy Boege
Our condolences to the Kauffman Family. May the memories and fellowship of your loved ones bring you comfort in this time of sorrow. Regards, Sharif, Mimi and Sarah.
Doug and Debbie and your entire family, Tom and I were so sorry to hear about Dad K. He will be missed by so many, Just stopping by the farm and not seeing that happy smiling face appear is a great loss to many. He always made us smile and always had something nice to say. He was a fixture in the town and we will miss seeing him out and about. Out thoughts and prayers are with you through this tough time. Tom and Laurie Kelley
Charles Kauffman, a finer man you never would know, A helper, a doer, a father, a brother always wanting to know how he could better himself or another … A friend as were there no foes, with that infectious laugh, who’d ever know he had woes in this life that he loved and fought to endure no matter the lows. Charles, or Chuck to a few, had a smile that would always welcome anew His friendship and strength in that how do you do… He always asked, and wanted to know If life was treating you ok or just so so. Charles Kauffman, what a wonderful man And a heck of a bridge player in this land of the hand that he shared with the earth in a passionate way of creating the beauty we enjoy every day.. His sunflowers, oh how brightly they shone In the field, in the vase. Or just all alone Like his smile or that twinkle in his penetrating eye,,, You had to love him He was so kind He melted your heart, time after time His manner and class were his kudos As he traveled the world in just those plain clothes We’ll miss you, chuck, as you go on your way To the land of the Mighty on that happy day Where pain is none other to one or another And sunflowers glow in the light of the day...
Dear Cousins - our prayers go out for you all as you say Good-bye to your beloved father. I have such fond memories of Uncle Jr. He was so smart, funny and kind. One story that I would like to share with you happened 26 years ago. Remember coming to my wedding in Winona? Long story short, my husband and I found ourselves without a hotel room on our wedding night. Uncle Jr and Aunt Joan graciously gave us one of their rooms for the night. They taught us to laugh at our problems and that you can always count on family. I am sorry that we are so far away right now (currently in Iba, Philippines) but please know that we will be praying that God's love will uphold you.
We are so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. He was a good man who taught us both many things at the Health Department. We are sorry we cannot be there.
