Condolences
Dear Jack and Family: When I was a student in Roy H. Mann, you were my assistant principal but we didnt really know each other. Then my mother started teaching Pre-K in PS 203 and I came to know Jane, who she worked with...and adored. I got to know Jane better and needless to say, I adored her too! She was one of the warmest and kindest people that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, as are you, Jack. When I close my eyes I can still hear Jane's infectious laugh. I always loved to read the sweet cards she sent to my mom after she retired. They had their own little jokes after working together for all those years! I know my mom misses her so much, as do I. I will never forget her!! My deepest condolensces to you and your family! With Love, Randi
Jane, you were an inspiration to all who knew you. Your love for all our children at P.S. 203 was amazing. Not a day went by that you didn't have a smile on your face. You were the most kindest, gentlest person. You've touched so many lives over the years. Each and every one of us at P.S. 203 have that wonderful memory and will treasure it for the rest of our lives. We love and thank you for all the beautiful memories you left behind. I know God is very lucky, having you enter into his kingdom, bringing your love and kindest to all of those who have succumb before you. May God Bless you and may the perpetual light shine upon you.

Jane brightened every room she entered. I will miss her.
Jack, Jane's smile always would light up my day. What a treasure Jane was! She will always have a place in my heart and in the hearts of my children. I am so sorry for your loss.
My education started with Mrs. McNicholas taking me under her wind in Pre-K in PS 203. She made my days so happy and had many laughs throughout the years looking back at past memories of my antics in class and the school. Whenever I saw her throughout the years she always told everyone the story of me going on stage in front of the school and dancing with African dancers. She will forever be missed by me. She was like no other. All my love
Dear Jack and Family, We are so saddened at the passinig of Jane. We will miss her warmth and beautiful smile. We will also miss another opportunity to share an evening of fun and games, and just being together in friendship. Most of all, we will miss one part of a beautiful, caring and very special couple. We love you Jack. Love, Ruth and Carl

Aunt Jane was one of the sweetest women we've had the pleasure of knowing. She had an infectious smile and laugh and brought a certain light and joy to every gathering. We were blessed to know her through our brother & sister Nick & Jeanette Ciminelli. We wish our most sincerest sympathy and prayers to her husband, family and friends who will miss her terribly. May God hold Aunt Jane in the palm of His hand always. God Bless.
Mrs. McNicholas was an inspiration for so many of us. I have been comforted by her love and guidance many times over the years. Her life is a wonderful example of what kindness is all about. Mrs. McNicholas' strength and courage has set the bar high for all those that aspire to be like her. Mrs. McNick will be missed and the memories of her inspiring life shall remain in the hearts of many.
You can shed tears that she is gone, or you can smile because she has lived. You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back, or you can open your eyes and see all she's left. Your heart can be empty because you can't see her, or you can be full of the love you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember her only that she is gone, or your can cherish her memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back, or you can do what she'd want: Smile, open your eyes, love and go on ... love you my dear friend xox Debbie

It is with great sadness that I extend to Jack and family all the deep condolences from the Family of St. John's University on the passing of wife and mother, Jane. Steeped in relationships that go back some 55 years, the McNicholas Family gave us their best, father and son so that we might educate them with our strong traditional values. All this time, one Jane McNicholas was there, and having met her in person in 1979 she never once changed from the good, kind and faithful person she was. Most of all, with the loss of her only son two years ago, she was a bastion of courage, faith and love for family and friends all. How could this now happen with her passing, one might ask? All one could say is that God in His Wisdom must have a plan. We will all sorely miss Jane McNicholas for she was a great Christian woman. May she rest in peace, may she rest with her son John, my/our good friend and may she be with her God and saints all.
Jack and family. Please accept our heartfelt condolences to you and the family of our dear friend and neighbor Jane. We are deeply saddened to learn of her passing. While we did not know her but for a short time we were inspired by her courage, personality and presence within our community. She was a very special person and will indeed be truly missed. As Jane always told us, "All we can do is put one foot in front of the other."
Our deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved Aunt! We keep you and your family in our prayers during this most difficult time!
