Condolences
Denise, sometimes we say too often how sorry we are about the passing of another in one's life. I always remember what someone told me when my step-mother died..."Do not mourn the absence of the candle's glow, but rejoice in how brightly it burned". These words brought me comfort and I hope they do for you as well. I guess these words would be a good mantra to live by, hoping that you are always remembered by the joy you brought others. I know your Mom and Darryl brought you joy and you to them. May you always remember the brightness of the candle. Prayers to you. Call if you need anything.
Thinking of you at this sad time.
Both of my grandmothers passed away before I was born. Audrey adopted me as her own granddaughter when I was little, and told me that I could call her "Nana" too. It meant so much to me as a child. I would get just as excited as Lindsey & Greg when she would visit. She was such a sweet woman, who will be missed.
Dear Lindsey and family , Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your family at this most difficult time. Know how much we love you and will be there for you in whatever you need. Love Cathy and Cal
On behalf of all of the members of the Watchung Amateur Ski Club, we send our sincerest condolences to the Winland family. Although not many new Daryl's mom, we want to send our thoughts and prayers to the family, in this most difficult time. May Audrey rest in peace.
I took Madison to visit Nannie in February. They ate pretzels together and Madi did a dance in her pink cowboy boats that Nannie enjoyed so much. As we were leaving, I said "Let's go, Madison Audrey" and Nannie said "I forgot you named her with Audrey, that was a nice think that you did". As Madi and I walked Nannie back to the main room in the nursing home a woman who worked there said "Audrey, look at that smile, why are you so happy today", and she responded, "I'm a proud grandmother!"
Dear Bruce, Sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. I'm thinking of you. Love, Cindy Mirabelli
My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the Winland family at this difficult time. I never had the chance to meet "Daryl's Mom," but heard a lot about her. If Daryl, who was a close friend and ski buddy, was anything like her, then I'm sure she was a remarkable woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Although I did not have the opportunity to meet your Mom, a close friend of mine worked with her and shared what a positive addition she was to their school. I also know what a wonderful job she did as a mother having known her daughter Daryl, my ski buddy, and having met her other children this past December. This has been a difficult time for your family. Please accept my sincere sympathy during this difficult time. Ellen Earl
My deepest heartfelt sympathy and prayers for the Winland family. Your Mom was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed. Love, Alison and Elaine Hemmerle
Denise, I just learned today of your mom's passing. My deepest thoughts are with you and regret that I can't be with you at this time. You were such a strength to me when Mother was so sick and also during the time period after Kirt's passing. It helps so much to have such a dear family and you also have that as well. Thinking of you, Kathy
Denise and Bruce- I don't know where to begin. My heart goes out to you, especially given the fact it is so close to Daryl's courageous fight. It goes without saying that you, your mom, and Daryl and your dad, will be in our thoughts and prayers. Although it has been years since I've seen your mom, I will always remember her warmth, that special glint in her eye, and her uncanny ability to make you feel welcome. She was a wonderful lady who will be truly missed. With love and sympathy, Steve
Dear Bruce and family, We are so sad to hear of the loss of your mother. We are thinking of you and keeping you in our prayers. Love, Chris, Christine, Maddie and Katie
Our deepest sympathies to you all. I have so many great memories of when you lived on Dill in Linden. I don't how Mrs. W put up with all our silliness. She was a wonderful woman and will be remembered fondly.
Dear Denise and family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you, family and friends as you celebrate your mother's time on this earth. I pray that you find peace in the memories of love that you hold for "mom". Sending you love, Diane Banic and Erik Van Kleef
Denise, I am so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Denise, eloquent words escape me right now as I try to express how sad I feel for the most recent loss in your life. I know how dear your sister and mother must have been to you and how much you cared for them, not just when you were physically present. You are an inspiration to me for strength. I hope we can nurture you as well. Love and deepest sympathy. Pris
Dear Denise and family, While I am sad that you must receive more grieving in your life at this time, I am somewhat relieved that your mother's struggle has ended and that her deserved everlasting joy has begun. I think that thoughts of Daryl may flood you in these days and know that my thoughts and prayers are around you all the time. See you when you get home....love to you and yours
Dear Denise, I am sorry to learn about the death of your mom. You have had a lot of loss recently. While I know your mom was ready to go, it is always difficult to lose a parent. I am thinking of you and your family. Take good care of yourself. Love, Sally
