Obituary of Audrey Winland
Audrey H. Winland, 86, of Freehold Township, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2011, at the Reformed Church Home, Old Bridge. Mrs. Winland was born in Jersey City and had lived there and Linden before moving to Old Bridge in 2004. She was a school secretary for the Roselle Public School System for 34 years retiring in 1990. She was a former member, Elder and Deacon of the Elmora Presbyterian Church, Elizabeth. Mrs. Winland was a member of the Hilda Gould Chapter of Deborah in Linden, the NEA, NJ Retired Education Association and Union County Retired Education Association. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #183, Emmaus Chapter, Linden, and the International Society of Poets.
She was predeceased by her husband, James Edward Winland, in 1993, and a daughter, Daryl Winland Thomas in 2010. She is survived by a son, Bruce Winland, of Freehold Township; a daughter, Dr. Denise Winland and her husband, Dr. Charles Francke, of Louisville, KY; 4 grandchildren, Greg Scot Mihalik, Lindsey Groves and her husband, Christian; Shannon Menezes & Eric Francke; 6 great grandchildren; a brother, Howard Hansen and his wife, Carolyn, of Elizabeth; and a sister, Bobbie Fuller and her husband, Charles, of Lancaster, PA.
Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township, NJ, on Friday, April 15, 2011, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM with an Eastern Star service to take place at the funeral home at 7:30 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM Funeral Service on Saturday, April 16, 2011, at the First Presbyterian Church, 118 West Main Street, Freehold, NJ. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery, Linden, NJ.
