Condolences
We were very sad to learn of the passing of your father. Unfortunately we were out of town and could not attend the services. Bob has many, many childhood memories of you, your Mom and Dad and, of course, Aunt Sophie and Uncle Frank. Ed will truly be missed. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. Take care of yourselves and hold on to all of the memories. Bob and Joan

Dear Billy and family. Our deepest sympathy on the loss of your father. Please know that we will pray for him and for you. Love Patti and Jack Schramm
Back in December of 1976 I had an appointment with the USMC Recruiter in Freehold, NJ. Dad wanted to go with me so with all the jobs he was working back then it took him a little while to get ready. We ended up being 5 minutes late for our appointment with the USMC recruiter who went to lunch. The Navy recruiter came out and said "The Marines are part of the Navy, so we cover for them while they are out of the office." Needless to say 31 years later I ended a very successful career as a Surface Nuclear Propulsion Supervisor and having been Command Master Chief of USS KALAMAZOO, VF-143 World Famous Pukin' Dogs, USS KEARSARGE, and the Center for Naval Engineering and as Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Supreme Allied Commander, Atlantic.
Who would have ever guessed my dad being 5 minutes late would have turned out so great.
I was so saddened to hear of the sudden death of your dad. I know the the pain of losing someone so close so suddenly. My prayers are with you at this time and I have asked my Danielley to welcome him into heaven with open arms and love. All my prayers and love to you, Liz Bailey Hays and Family
My sincerest condolences to all the family. Ed and I worked together for nearly 8 years at HPD. I left there in 1993, but our friendship never ended. We were looking forward to going out to celebrate his birthday when he returned from the races, along with Chris, which was our annual tradition. I miss him already.
Just wanted to express my deepest sympathies to the family. It's never easy losing a loved one, but you will find peace in keeping his memory alive...He's in a better place now...God Bless
I'm really going to miss you Dad...I am very thankful for these last few years where I was finally able to have the relationship with you that I always wanted. It is going to be really different not having you around. I love you, Billy
