Condolences
My sincere condolences at this time of sorrow. I have many fond memories of conversations had with Conrad as we walked the track at Liberty Oak Park over and over again on weekday mornings. He will be greatly missed. Until we meet again, my friend.
My sincere sympathy to the family of conrad he was a great man i had the pleasure of talking with him on occasion he gave me hope he will be greatly missed, i am also a friend of bill's
Conrad will always be my best (and probably only) brother-in-law. He provided a safe haven for me and numerous friends during some turbulent high school years. There was always an open door, even for some late-night parties when he was away on vacation with my sister (that I hoped he never found out about.) He loved his kids and was very proud of them (even if he didn't always show it, those close learned to read him.) Alex, Karen, Julie, and Peg- you lovingly took good care of him in his final years and now he is at peace.
Three of the four units that make up Broadgate Court have their front doors facing the courtyard. In 2002 we held our first Broadgate Bash. A picnic where Conrad was our cook. His job was to bring his grill around to the chosen spot in the courtyard and cook the hamburgers and hot dogs. We all brought food to share. He really enjoyed the cooking part, but wheeling that grill was no easy chore. In 2007 we had the 5th and last picnic, taking place around our community pool, ordering pizza. These picnics were fun for all of us,got us connected and friendships were formed. Any time Conrad saw my husband sitting out on the lawn he would come down and sit and visit. He usually brought with him some older issues of The National Geographic. Conrad gave my husband the thrill of his life when we were on a cruise out of New York and Conrad, being a friend of the Captain, invited my husband to accompany him on the bridge as we headed out to our destination. We will always remember the good times we shared with Conrad as a neighbor and friend.
Peg, Julie, and Karen; So sorry aabout your Dad. Love Jane
I am very sorry to hear of your family's loss. I hope that memories of Conrad will comfort you during this difficult time. Please accept my family's deepest condolences and know that your family is in our thoughts and prayers.
I WILL NEVER FORGET THAT TUESDAY NIGHT MEETING. THANKS FOR BEING A FRIEND AND THANKS FOR BEING YOU.
Thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time. On behalf of the Gilmartin family, Conrad was a great man and we are saddened by his death. We all have very fond memories of him and he will be missed. May God's peace be with you all.
Robby and I are so sorry to hear about this. You and your family are definitely in our thoughts and prayers. Please know that... and that if you need anything, anything... Love you, Peggy!
I will always remember calling the house to speak with Peggy(daughter) and he would answer the phone "Conrad here". That always made me laugh, but never out loud! Mr Whiteside always scared me a bit, even though he was one of the nice men I knew! The other memory I have of him was his rescue of me after a 24 hour dance-a-thon I attended and my mom's car broke down. I called the Whiteside's house at 6:30am and Mr. Whiteside came to get me and bring me home!! There are quite a few more memories but those two will always be my favorite!
Peggy, We are so sorry for your loss and as you know, we are here for you. Love and Hugs, Jennifer and Diana <3
