Obituary of Douglas Hine

Douglas M. Hine, 61 of Jackson passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born in Jersey City, and had lived in Howell and Freehold before moving to Jackson in 2006. Doug was a Field Operations Supervisor for Acme Markets throughout New Jersey for over 40 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving from 1968 to 1970. Doug loved his trips to Atlantic City and Freehold Raceway but the real joy in his life was the love for his family especially being Poppy to his granddaughters. He was predeceased by his mother, Margaret Hine. Doug is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Cathy H. Hine; a daughters, Brandi Cole and her husband, John of Jackson; a son, Douglas C. Hine of Weehawken; two granddaughters, Lillian Grace Cole and Keelyn Shea Cole; his father, William Hine of Freehold; two brothers, William Hine and his wife, Nina of Brick and David Hine and his wife, Carol of West Long Branch; four sisters, Kathy Forlenza and her husband, Gary of Georgia, Debra Marshall and her husband, David of Jackson, Nancy Bailey and her husband, Matthew of Jackson and Sharon O'Neill and her husband, Michael of Jackson; and many nieces and nephews. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, (Route 524), Freehold Twp. on Sunday, September 25, 2011 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Rite of Committal at 10:30 AM on Monday, September 26, 2011, at the funeral home followed by his 11:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Twp. Interment will be private.
