Obituary of Michael Peter Vaccaro
Michael Peter Vaccaro, 30, of Freehold Township, passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at home after a long struggle with addiction. He was born on Staten Island and was a lifelong resident of Freehold Township. Michael worked as a mechanic for R&J Automotive in Howell. He graduated from Red Bank Catholic High School and played ice hockey for the Casey’s. Michael also played hockey for the American Eagles in Wall. He raced stock cars in New Egypt and loved to spend time on the water.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Peter Nicotina. Michael is survived by his daughter, Audriana Rose Coughlin; parents, Robert and Joanne Vaccaro of Freehold Township; sisters, Laura Vaccaro of Freehold Township and Lisa Vaccaro of Freehold Township; devoted girlfriend, Kayla Coughlin of Freehold Township; paternal grandparents, Natale “Nat” and Matilda Vaccaro of Toms River; maternal grandmother, Ann Marie Nicotina of Freehold Township; aunts, Donna Connolly and Tom of Bucks County, PA, Diane Santarpia and her husband, Robert of Belle Mead, and Lucille O’Brien of Freehold Township; cousins, Krystina, Kelly, Karen, Kristin, Robert, Jr., and Corinne; and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 9:00 AM for the procession to his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
