Words cannot express our sorrow for the loss of such a beautiful person.
We will remember her laughter and her joy of life.
She will be missed by so many. She is in Jesus’s arms.
"O" I cannot imagine what you must be going through. We will remember Barbara sitting on her folding bridge chair on the driveway always looking and talking about "a good deal". Her smile, her spirit as well as her warm caring heart will live in our memories for ever,
Please accept our sincere condolences, love and prayers on the sudden and tragic passing of Barbara. She was the sweetest kindest person who always had a smile on her face. What an impact she made not only to the Taunton family but to everyone she came in contact with. Our loss is heavens gain. Love hugs and prayers to you all. Mary Lynn / Steve Barrow and family
We are so sorry to hear of the sudden and tragic loss of your sister in law. We are praying for your entire family. When my Dad passed away a dear friend sent me the below. I hope these words will help ease your pain as it did mine.
You can shed tears that she is gone or,
you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back,
or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left.
Your heart can empty because you can't see her,
or you can be full of the love you shared..
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her and only that she is gone,
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back,
or you can do what she would want :
SMILE, OPEN YOUR EYES, LOVE AND GO ON.
Please accept my deepest condolences. I will hold your family in my thoughts and prayers.
I'm so sorry for everyone's loss. Although we were not related as cousins, Barbara was my cousin since we were babies together in my grandfather's back yard in Brooklyn. Our familes often went on vacations together. I am so sorry we didn't see more of each other in recent years. I am also heartbroken and will miss Barbara.

It was easy to see that Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. We admired her dedication to her faith, family and her teaching. Gary and l are very lucky to have shared many wonderful times with Barbara & Orlando over the last few years. Meeting to chat after a mass service was always a pleasure for all of us - just a quick visit to catch up! We especially enjoyed our summer trips on the water. I will miss Barbara very much. Her sweetness & grace lit up every room she entered. Barbara was like sunshine.
God blesses her now with eternal life in heaven where we will all see her again. Our sympathy, prayers & caring thoughts go out to you, Orlando, Alana & Danielle and your families, and to all of Barbara’s relatives and dear friends.
My daughters and I were so heartbroken to hear of Mrs. Fernandez's passing. She was such a wonderful, kind and genuine teacher and person. At mass when giving communion, she always had a smile and always remembered our names. She adored her daughters and grandchildren and husband. She always had a loving smile and glowed when she talked about her family. May God grant her eternal rest. I know He greeted her into his Heavenly Kingdom. May the love of family, friends and the precious memories help you during this time.
Danielle my heartfelt prayers go out to you and the family. I just sat with your mom at Donna's retirement dinner and she was so proud of you and your sister. We talked about retirement and she said she wanted a few more years. May you find peace in the coming months.
We are so sorry for your loss.
Barbara was one of a kind. One of the best. We will miss her immensely. Love to Orlando, Alana, Danielle and their families.
So sorry for the family's loss, my prayers will be for all of the family to help through this most difficult time. Celeste Horai. St Peters University Hospital.
Alana, I am so sorry. My thoughts are with you and your family. If there is anything I can do for you please do not hesitate.
Dear Orlando, I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Barbara for 9 years at Taunton. She was the sweetest, kindest most loving friend and teacher anyone could have. I can't tell you how sorry I am and how much she inspired me. We had so many laughs going to Ellis Island and Square Dancing and all of our fabulous teacher room talks. She was so helpful and generous with her time. If anyone ever needed help Barb would be the first to offer her time. She was beautiful inside and out. You are in my thoughts and prayers. May God give you all the Graces you need to have strength right now. Love, Jenny
We have fond memories of you as our daughters third grade teacher at Taunton School. Rest In Peace Mrs. Fernandez.
My deepest condolences to the family during this very difficult time. May Barbara Rest In Peace.,
We were BFF's since the day we met when we were 12 years old. I will always remember and cherish our lifetime of wonderful memories and how wonderful she always made me and everyone around her feel. I am honored and blessed to have known her and call her my BFF all these years. She was an angel whose time here was too short.
My heart breaks for your family please know you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time,

I was so shocked to hear about the passing of Barbara. I worked with Barbara for many years at Taunton School and considered her a very good friend. When I think of Barbara, first and foremost, I think about the love and pride she had for her family. She was so proud of her beautiful daughters, and so in love with her grandchildren and husband. I know for a fact that she went directly to heaven when leaving this earth. She never, ever had a negative word about anyone. She had one of the most positive attitudes imaginable...she never complained, and no matter how busy she was, she always had time for you. I would see her at the Adoration Chapel on occasion, and I don't even think she realized I saw her there, in the morning, before school. She was a dedicated communicant at St. Veronica's. When offering the body of Christ, it was always with reverence and a happy heart. Barbara was an example to everyone. She will be so missed by so many. God bless Orlando, her daughters, and grandkids. I will be praying for all of you.
Love,
Arlene
