Obituary of Joan L. Sulano

Joan L. Sulano, 81, of Howell passed away at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township on Monday, February 19, 2018.  She was born, raised and lived in Brooklyn, and settled in Howell in 2011.  Joan worked as a supervisor at the First Boston Bank prior to her retirement in 1987.   She loved Atlantic City, playing Pokeno and bingo, dancing and attending the Young at Heart Group at First Assembly of God.  Joan enjoyed going on vacation, especially to Hawaii.  She was a source of joy for her family, especially her grandchildren who were the greatest gift in her life.

Joan is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Valentine Sulano of Howell; daughter, Jamie Ventriglio and her husband, Thomas of Freehold Township; William Talbot and his wife, Josephine of Keansburg; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Michelle and Michael; and brother, Howard  ”Buddy” Clinton of Florida.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Monday, February 26, 2018 at 9:00 AM for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.  Interment will follow in Brigadier General Wm.
