My heart is so heavy that I am not there with all of you today. I'm lighting this candle with a heavy heart, but also with a heart filled with fond memories and love for a man that was a constant in my life. He was my father's best friend from childhood, husband of my mother's best friend from childhood and parent to my best friend from childhood. That is a lot of love. I'm grateful to have experienced so many life long friendships that eventually blossomed into family. I will miss him dearly. May he rest in peace and I'll see ya on the other side where we can eat and drink and be merry once again, Uncle Doc...and of course smoke cigars;) xo
