Catherine R. "Cathy" Johnson

Condolences
Deepest condolences for the loss of your loved one. May your family find comfort in the scriptural hope found at Revelation 21:4:"..death will be no more.., the former things have passed away."
My cousin & I had very different beginnings. She was the country mouse & I was the city mouse, growing up on a farm & growing up in Brooklyn, respectively. Every summer we would take turns, first me visiting her on the chicken farm thinking that was sooooo cool & visiting with my Aunt Catherine who was an amazing cook & the sweetest person on the planet. The next summer, she would come to Brooklyn & visit me in the"big city" & of course, she thought that that was equally amazing. I am an only child & so sharing time with my cousin was always special to me & I envied her big family & fun times. Later. after we both married & had our children, we continues the tradition visiting our respective homes (country & city) every summer with her sister Gloria. After I moved south to the Carolinas, we kept our connection alive with phone calls, sharing events, good & bad. She & Steve came to N Carolina to visit with me in 2010 & we had a wonderful visit. Her 70th birthday was amazing These memories are so precious to me. I miss you cuz
Bob and I fondly remember all the fun times playing cards with Cathy and Steve at Ocean Point, Maine.
Cathy would enter our home with her 50's rock and roll music and her cards. We would play for hours and sing along to our old rock and roll favorite music.
We also remember how much Cathy loved listening to Danny Beal perform at local venues in Boothbay. She and Steve also religiously attended the Wilson Chapel services at Ocean Point where Danny played the organ and also sang.
Remembering her beautiful smile and love of music.May loving memories ease your loss and bring you comfort.
Cathy was always so warm and gracious. Her smile could light up the whole room. We shall always remember our time together in NJ and Maine eating, playing cards, listening to music, taking walks, and just talking about everything life had to offer. Cathy was a lovely person with a true zest for life. She will be missed.
My deepest condolences to the family, may you find comfort in prayer and the beautiful words of Revelation 21:3,4 where God promises us that He will soon eliminate all death and suffering.
