Obituary of Catherine R. Johnson

Catherine R. Johnson, 73, of Freehold passed away at home on Thursday, November 1, 2018 surrounded by her loved ones.  She was born in Brooklyn and was a lifelong resident of Freehold Township.  Cathy worked as a Director of Human Resources for CNA Insurance, Neptune for over 27 years.  She loved traveling to Rome and Italy, and vacationing at her home in Maine where she enjoyed eating lobster and relaxing with her family.   Cathy’s hobbies included painting and gardening.  Her greatest joy was her grandchildren who she loved to the moon and back. 

Cathy was predeceased by her stepson, Timothy Johnson in 1995.  She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Stephen Johnson of Freehold; two sons, Gregory Narozniak and his wife, Courtney of Hillsborough and Gary Narozniak of Freehold; stepson, Scott Johnson and his wife, Laura of Honeoye Falls, NY; two grandchildren, Justin and Catherine; two step grandchildren, Amanda and Tim; brothers, Louis Donato and Robert Donato and his wife, Muriel of Freehold; and stepdaughter-in-law, Amy Ferry of Massachusetts.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:30 AM Funeral Mass on Monday, November 5, 2018 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold.  Interment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery, 299 Freehold-Englishtown Road, Freehold Township.  For those who desire, memorial contributions in Catherine’s name may be made to American Cancer Society, 2310 Route 34, Suite 1D, Manasquan, NJ 08736.  For information, directions or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com
