I worked with Gail for almost a decade at AHS. She was an impressive woman - alternately all-business, or making a subtle joke, always happy to help anyone if they needed it (I speak from personal experience!), and took her chosen profession seriously and expected her students to do the same. My family sends their heartfelt condolences.
