Obituary of Gail B. Willis

Gail B. Willis, 65, of Howell passed away at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township on Tuesday, November 27, 2018.  She was born and raised in Elizabeth City, NC and had lived in Hightstown and Freehold Township before settling in Howell in 1993.   A woman of faith, she was a member of the Bethel AME Church, Freehold where she was the Superintendent of Sunday School, and had previously been a member of St. James AME, Hightstown.  Gail had a beautiful voice and was an active participant in church activities.  She was an excellent cook and enjoyed feeding her family and friends.  Gail was a teacher who helped generations of students at Allentown High School and her spirit will live on in the lives of those she touched. 

Gail is survived by her husband of 39 years, Darrell L. Willis, Sr. of Howell; son Darrell L. Willis, Jr. of Cincinnati, OH; daughter Joy Willis of Tampa, FL; grandson Braylon James Willis; a nephew who was like a son, Jermaine Jones of Eastampton; and great nephew, Marcus Jones. 

Visitation will be held at the Bethel AME Church on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM with her funeral service to follow at 4:00 PM.  Interment will be private.   For information, directions or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com
