Obituary of Barbara DeSpirito

Barbara DeSpirito, 74, of Freehold Township passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township surrounded by her family. Barbara was born in Brooklyn, NY and had lived in Sayreville for 30 years before moving to Freehold Township 7 years ago. She was a parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Freehold Township. Barbara was an extremely dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Nicholas "Nick" DeSpirito; one daughter, Deborah Alvarado and her husband, Michael of Freehold Township, NJ; two sons, Philip DeSpirito and his wife, Kathleen of Middletown, NJ and Steven DeSpirito and his wife, Jennifer of Roswell, GA; seven grandchildren, Marisa, Nicholas, Christine, Victoria, Samantha, Madeleine and Lily; and three sisters, Annette DiPaolo of Jackson, NJ, Camille Lagalla of South Amboy, NJ and Diane Romano of Parlin, NJ. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home at 9:00 AM on Thursday, October 25, 2012 for the procession to St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township for her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass. Entombment to follow in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery, 299 Freehold Englishtown Road, Freehold.
