Obituary of Joseph Telle
Joseph Telle, 58, of Freehold Township passed away on Monday, March 25, 2019 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He was born and raised in Newark and had lived in Union before settling in Freehold Township in 1998. Joseph was a loving husband, father, and friend. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. A true patriot, Joseph was a dedicated police lieutenant for the Newark Police Department for 28 years, retiring in 2012. He was an avid sports fan and rooted for the New York Yankees and Green Bay Packers.
Joseph is survived by his wife of 32 years, Theresa Telle of Freehold Township; children, Ryan Telle and his wife, Crystal of Clayton, DE, Jessica Telle and her fiancé, Tyler Haines of Freehold Township, and Zachary Telle of Freehold Township; grandchildren, Riley and Teagan; brothers, Celso Telle and his wife, Paula of Berkeley Heights and John Telle and his wife, Toni of Union; and niece and nephews, Jimmy, Luke, Samantha, and Nicholas.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM funeral service on Friday, March 29, 2019 at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
