It’s not everyday that someone comes into your life and has a lasting affect on you. Georgie was that someone and I’m truly saddened by his death. I would see Georgie almost daily at my local Dunkin’ Donuts. I’d go in to pick up my on the go order and he would be sitting at his usual table with his friends ( whom I’ve also gotten to know). When you do this daily, you are considered a regular and if you are a regular than you couldn’t help but be drawn to this happy go lucky man who was just ever so pleasant and a genuine nice guy. He called me Sharpie. Why? Because he would compliment me on how well I dressed for work each day. He would tell me how sharp I looked, and thus Sharpie was born. Thank you Georgie for being you and for making my mornings special. You will be missed, but not forgotten. And when I go in to Dunkin’ Donuts to pick up my on the go order, I know your spirit will be there checking to make sure I live up to the Sharpie standard. Rest In Peace Georgie.
