Condolences
I just read of Alan ‘s (“Mr. Braverman,” to me) death, and was very saddened to hear of his passing.
Alan was my English teacher for two years at Sands Point Academy, and he had a profound effect on my life. His love of the English language and literature got me to look to the law as my profession, and in large part because of him, I am about to begin my 46th year as an attorney. He was my teacher during the very first Super Bowl, an I remember him as being an avid sports fan, and a pretty fair athlete, too. He and my dad were both Syracuse alumni, and when he learned this, he always discussed his college days with me. He was only 7 years older than I, and all of his students had an easy time relating to him. He was just a great guy, and I am sorry to hear of his passing..
My condolences to his family. But I wanted to let you know that a good teacher is always remembered, and makes his mark on the lives of his students. RIP.

We wish to express our deepest sympathy on the loss of your dear husband and father. We remember with great fondness our time as neighbors and of your entire family. Once again, we are so sorry for your loss.
It is with a heavy heart that I say goodby my best friend of 58 years. We met in the summer of 1960 at The Empire State Press Association Summer Program at SU.
The following fall we both enrolled at SU and the rest is history. The Catholic at the Jewish Service, the move to Queens, the kids, the Yankees, the Orange and West Virginia games and the 1 hour calls each month to catchup.
We never lost touch and I loved him like a brother. The Big A was always their when I needed him as he was with his family.
To Mardee,Chad,Jeremy and Heather May God hold you in his embrace and comfort you in this sorrowful time. Think of the good times and know that he is at the Rainbow Bridge with Otto and the gang from Joyce's Ark.
All my Love
