May God be with you in this sad time. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. I feel honored to have known Peter Paul and will miss him greatly. It surely won't be the same there without him.

Rest in Peace Uncle Pete, you were a unique man. I will never forget your visits to Berwick and going out to play pool with the guys. They were all upset to hear of your passing. You were a great pool player and great story teller. You are now reunited with Aunt Musa. We will all miss you very much.
Pappy it was an absolute privilege to have known you I so enjoyed your company especially when we were playing pool even though you invariably won. RIP Peter Paul.
How saddened I was to hear about the news of Pappy's passing. What an amazing man he was in every way.
I think I met Pappy when he was in his mid to late 80's. After a few times of meeting him, we started to work in the yard together, from time to time, doing some basic clean-up, raking, cutting down low hanging branches, etc., and I remember this like it was yesterday, AND I have told this story to MANY people...
We were cutting down branches, and there was one branch that we couldn't (safely) reach. Pappy looked at me and said, "I can probably climb that tree and cut that branch down" Again, Pappy was in his MID to LATE 80's when this happened. I truly looked at him in shock and with astonishment, and replied to him, "Pappy, there is NO WAY IN THE WORLD you are going to climb that tree!"
Of course that was followed by a few minutes of debate, and then I had to convince him that I KNEW he really could climb that tree if he wanted to. It was only once he knew that I knew he could climb that tree, that HE finally decided against the climb. It was at that moment that I knew that this was one unique and special man.
I feel very fortunate to have met him and to have known him. I don't recall one thing that he would complain about. He seemed to find the good in just about everything, and he really enjoyed telling stories. He was the type of man you would look forward to seeing again, and again.
He was a true gentleman, and a pretty good pool player, and I know that my life was enriched simply by being in and being part of his company.
The Video Tribute was wonderful, and it brought tears to my eyes.
Pappy and the entire family were never far from my thoughts and heart.
My thoughts and prayers to all.
With Love,
Carl

Thank you Pappy for being the brightest and longest living star in our sky. I’m not really sure what it’s going to be like not to have you or be able to brag to family and friends about how amazing you are at 104 years old. I know you’re looking down already on us. Please know that we will keep your memory not only in our heart but in our lives and make sure that your fifth generation knows the great legacy that left us on July 20th.
A man who was an inspiration to us all and made the world a better place, fortunately for a very long time. His kind and friendly demeanor and gentle grace will be missed by so many - condolences to all but what a blessing was his long life .

Pappy,
I'll treasure the lifetime of memories we've shared - baseball games on flour-outlined fields, bedtime stories, learning to dive, the Amish country, and so many more. I won't be able to eat rye toast without thinking about you.
Love you always,
Stefanie
