Obituary of Charles Fama
Charles Fama, 56, of Howell Township passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at home. Chuck was born in Elizabeth and was raised and had lived in Rahway. He settled in Howell Twp. in 1995 to raise his family. Chuck was a graduate of Johnson and Wales University. He worked in the restaurant industry as a chef and then became the hot foods manager for Shop Rite in Spotswood for the past twenty-five years. Chuck enjoyed cooking and grilling for backyard barbeques. He looked forward to Trout fishing every spring and tending to his large vegetable garden each summer.
Chuck was a dedicated husband and proud father, who loved spending time with his family and friends. He was known for his sense of humor, quick wit, and commitment to his family. Chuck was admired for his relentless determination, tremendous strength and courage. He will forever be remembered as a true warrior who will be missed by all.
Chuck was predeceased by his mother, Frances Fama (nee Zolkowski) and a brother, Vincent Fama. He is survived by his loving wife of twenty-six years, Susan; son, Zachary; daughter, Jessica; father, Angelo Fama of Rahway; brother, Angelo Fama, Jr. of Howell; and numerous extended family and dear friends.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM with his funeral service to follow at 5:00 PM.
