Obituary of Daniel Steven Nitti
Daniel Steven Nitti, 54, of Millstone passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA. Daniel was born in Brooklyn, raised in the Great Kills section of Staten Island, and settled in Millstone in 2000 where he raised his family. For over 25 years he was self-employed as the owner and president of Patriot Shipping in Avenel. Daniel was a sports fanatic and rooted for the Yankees, Giants and Rangers. He loved music, his favorite band being Led Zeppelin, as well as reading and watching old movies with his dad. A staunch Republican and history buff, Daniel’s final wish was to keep America great.
Most importantly, Dan will be remembered best for being a great husband, an incredible father, a loving son, the best brother, brother-in-law and uncle you could hope for, and a faithful friend.
He was predeceased by his father, Rocco Nitti in 1990. Daniel is survived by his wife of 26 years, Stephanie Nitti of Millstone; three children, Olivia Nitti, Brandon Nitti and Jack Nitti, all of Millstone; mother, Joyce Nitti of Freehold Township, brother, Robert Nitti and his wife, Fran of Freehold Township; mother-in-law, Deanna Glenn and her husband, Raidy of Naples, FL; three sisters-in-law, Anastasia Karlis of Naples, FL, Melissa Omdolo and her husband, Paul of Naples, FL, and Adrianna Karlis of Sunnyvale, CA; nieces and nephews, Robert, Jr., Matthew, James, Tessa, Joseph, Haleigh, Kyle and Melina; great nieces, Claire Violet and Regan Marie, his couch buddy and best friend, Molly the King Charles Cavalier; many extended family; and friends too numerous to name.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:30 AM Funeral Mass on Friday, November 15, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 91 Stillhouse Road, Millstone. Interment will take place at Moravian Cemetery, 2205 Richmond Road, Staten Island, NY 10306.
