Condolences
We are so sorry to hear of his passing. Matt Casamassina and Tommy Abbate and Joey Burruano were studying the Bible with Greg in our Park Boys group. We are truly saddened by the news. Please accept our condolences.
May God bless your whole family and help you through these times.
I'm so sorry to hear of this great loss for all, especially for his dear family.
Step and I met as sales reps at Mallinckrodt in the mid-80s and quickly became fast friends. A midwestern guy and one from the northeast are not always natural friends, but we bonded over laughter. Greg sure knew how to do that. As the years passed, we lost contact, but I would occasionally think about those days and smile, or a comment from him on social media would bring back a warm memory.
As we go through life we meet some people who stick with us due to their strong spirit. Step was one of those guys.
Greg was (is) a friend and brother in Christ. I write 'was' because he is gone from this life. I write 'is' because he is alive in Christ Jesus forever. That is the promise of God he has now inherited
One thing about Greg, he was real. Often at our men's bible study he dropped bombs...meaning, he told it like it was and didn't mince words. That would open the door for other men to share what was really on their hearts and the Holy Spirit could get down to business. It was a joy to talk to him.
A scripture comes to mind: "Faithful are the wounds of a friend, But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful."
-Proverbs 27:6
He was indeed a faithful friend who didn't throw you fake kisses but rather, holy kisses. Greg went for the heart in all he did and with everyone he met, because that is what Jesus did in his life. And he wanted everyone to know that. And we thank God he did.
May the Lord comfort his wife, family and friends at this difficult time. Everyone will miss him until we see again one day by the grace of God.
I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Greg was a beautiful soul. It was so clear how much he loved you all and his church family. Take comfort in knowing he went home and is now with Jesus. In this difficult time may God hold you all close in his heart. God Bless you all!
So sorry to hear of Greg’s passing He was a kind person and he is now with the Lord May you keep his memories close to your heart God bless the family Elaine Maffia
I worked with Step at Mallinckrodt Medical. We weren’t in the same division or area of the country. He lived and worked in NJ I was in TN, TX & GA. But when you met Step, you were friends for life. I hadn’t seen Step in 20yrs, walking out of an elevator in Greenville SC, I hear hi Charlie, I look up and it’s Step, we obviously stop and have a beer to catch up. It was like we saw each other 2 weeks ago not 20 years. A true good guy and friend for life. RIP my friend.
With the deepest sympathy and prayer, we are so very sorry for the loss of such a wonderful christian role model. Our hearts are broken. Your family is in our prayers.
Heaven has a new angel.

Dear Sue, Gregory Jr., Alyssa, Wade, Ashley, Paul,
It is our prayer that each of you would find comfort and hope from our Lord above. May his grace carry you through this time of grief. We loved Greg very much. We found him to be a terrific example of a godly man. He has greatly impacted our lives and helped us in our walk with Jesus Christ. Our marriage is stronger for being apart of the marriage group. We were amazed to see how Greg and you all handled his illness. It has been our great blessing to get to know you all. While we know Greg is whole and healed in Heaven our heart breaks for your loss. May God bless you all.
Love,
Bill & Cindy Higgins
Greg was a great mentor and a respected friend. As a manager he had the perfect balance of encouragement and of demanding excellence. Assuredly he is with his Lord Jesus Christ whom he passionately served during his time on earth. We will miss him sorely in proportion to how much he was appreciated and enjoyed.
Dear Sue, Greg, Alyssa and Ashley
You are in our thoughts and prayers. May God ease this painful period for all of you. I am blessed to have known your husband, Greg was a friend and a blessing in my life. He was a roll model for all of us. His life was a testimony to how Jesus would want his followers to live. Your husband and father was a guide who demonstrated through his “Faith” the path to salvation. Please take comfort in knowing that he no longer suffers and is with the God.

Greg always went out of his way to encourage my children. He especially took a liking to Albert and always encouraged him to be a gentleman and man of God! He was so kind and even went out of his way to gift a beautiful bracelet to me and my daughter Elizabeth with the tree of life on it. I knew he was not only being kind to make sure neither of us felt left out, he was giving us something to connect the two of us together. That's how Greg was...always, always thinking of others.
Dear Sue, Gregory, Alyssa and Ashley
If you are fortunate , someone will come into your life and impact you in this life and the next. Met Greg at a men's conference at CCOB about 14 years ago.Joined his Bible studies at his house, the manasquan reservoir visitors center and other locations as he led a group of men to know the Bible and love the Lord. His teaching once a month at his Marriage ministry encouraged both Mary and I for many years. Its been a blessing to have known Greg. Our prayers of peace and healing for Sue and their children during this difficult time Bob & Mary
When we first moved into the neighborhood Greg was the first person to greet us. He offered us anything that we needed and was so friendly. We always enjoyed talking with him and will miss him.
Your family is in our prayers.
