Obituary of Carol Ann Gibson

Carol Ann Gibson, 79, of Farmingdale passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. She was born in Neptune and was a lifelong resident of Farmingdale. Carol was very caring by nature, which led to her career as an RN for The Lodge Nursing Home in Neptune. She was a devoted member of the Pierce Memorial Presbyterian Church, loved to tend to her garden, and have nights out for dinner. Above all, she was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Carol was predeceased by her husband, Billy L. Gibson in 2008. She is survived by her son, Scott Gibson of Farmingdale; daughter, Linda DeVries and her husband, Martin of Creston, West Virginia; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers, Paul Stanley Hunt, Jr. and his wife, Patricia of North Carolina, and Robert Hunt and his wife, Dorothy of Maryland; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, February 16, 2020 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM funeral service on Monday, February 17, 2020 at the Pierce Memorial Presbyterian Church, 40 Main Street, Farmingdale.
