Obituary of Russell Clifford Jordan
Russell Clifford Jordan, 69, of Howell passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Rusty was born and raised in Maine before settling here. A graduate of Howell High School Class of 1969, he participated in the Future Farmers of America program. For years, Rusty was a self-employed carpenter. In retirement, he was well-known as a local farmer at Son Ray Farm on Casino Drive. Rusty was a member of the NRA and a mentor for the missionary elders. He was friends with everyone he met and was very knowledgeable on many subjects.
Rusty was predeceased by his son, Raynor Russell Jordan in 2002; and his siblings, Donna Morey and Raymond Jordan. He is survived by his partner of 30 years, Susan Horrach of Howell; siblings, Jerry Jordan of Florida, Jackie Herter of Long Branch and Robin Woods of Oakhurst; nephews, Randy, Brian, Wayne and Russell; great nephew, Ryan Woods, Dave and Aidan; great niece, Amber Woods and Gabriella; stepdaughter, Jill Gonzalez; and many other extended relatives.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM funeral service at the funeral home on Friday, February 21, 2020. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lakewood.
