We met Stefano and his extended family through the friendship and eventually the marriage of his granddaughter and our son. We spent time with Stefano and his close knit family during several holidays and special celebrations. We always looked forward to sampling his homemade baked goods and even sometimes going home with a goodie bag. He will be remembered as a nice, kindhearted and friendly man. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family as he will be sadly missed.
Although I’m not a grandchild by blood, Nonno Stefano always made me feel part of the family - as if i was blood. He taught me what to look for in a good pastry, what growing up in Italy was like, and how to not get all your money taken in Tombola. It was a blessing and honor to know him
My Nonno always reassured me that good things would come as long as I worked hard. He always motivated me to do better, and have a positive outlook. I would not be where I am today if I was not fortunate enough to have had him in my life.
Grandpa made the best 7 layer cookies, and I have tried many other bakeries to try and compare. He also would always make small chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast whenever we slept over.
