Obituary of Carol Celentano
Carol Celentano, 75, of Farmingdale passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. She was born in Philadelphia, PA and raised in Lansdowne, PA. Carol moved to Brooklyn and lived in the Great Kills Section of Staten Island, before settling to Farmingdale in 2018. She began her career as an elementary school teacher in Long Island before moving to Staten Island, where she continued her love of teaching as a highly regarded and in demand substitute. Carol was an avid reader and had a love for writing poetry in her spare time. She was also a fashionista whose outside beauty was merely a reflection of the beautiful soul within her.
She was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Elizabeth Kwiatkowski; and her brother, Richard Kwiatkowski. Carol is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Alfred Celentano; two daughters, Tara McCarthy and her husband, James of Middletown, and Pilar Counts and her husband, Patrick of Barnegat; four grandchildren, James, Ryan, Avery, and SeanPatrick; and a brother, Henry Kwiatkowski and his wife, Angel of Wilmington, Delaware.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, private services were held for the immediate family.
