Obituary of Zachary Sassoon

Zachary “Bruno” Sassoon, 37, of Howell passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 18, 2020.  He was born in Red Bank, raised in Howell and settled in Tinton Falls in 2015.  Bruno was a graduate of the Freehold Township High School Class of 2001 and continued his education at Pace University, NYC where he graduated with the distinction of Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Business Management.  He worked in the IT staffing industry for a number of years, and more recently at Bayonne Golf Club.  Bruno was very athletic and enjoyed basketball, golfing, baseball, snowboarding and bodyboarding.  Additionally, Bruno enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, and sailing. He competed in the beach volleyball league, a Manasquan staple.  He lived life to the fullest. Most of all, Bruno enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. 

Bruno is survived by his wife, Kristine Sassoon; daughter, Mila; parents, Sol and Maggi Sassoon of Howell; brother, Julian Sassoon and his wife, Dena of Randolph, and their children, Alec and Gavin; paternal grandmother, Yvette Sassoon of Brooklyn; in-laws, Louis and Maria Stellato of Howell; brothers-in-law, Phillip Stellato and his fiancée, Kaitlin Schittig of Howell; David Stellato and his wife, Dawn of FL, and Daniel Stellato and his wife, Virginia of Vernon; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; his best friend and canine companion, Yogi; and close friends too numerous to name. 

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, private services will be held for immediate family members.  All arrangements are under the direction of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
