Obituary of Lawrence M. Falcon
Lawrence “Larry” M. Falcon, 77, of Morganville passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. He was born in Newark, raised in Bloomfield, and had lived in Old Bridge, South Brunswick, and Freehold Township, before settling in Morganville in 2015. Larry graduated Seton Hall University in 1964 where he received his bachelor’s degree and was then drafted by the Milwaukee Braves. He started working as an Insurance Executive in 1972 for First Investors Life Insurance Company until his retirement in 2017. Larry enjoyed traveling, especially to Aruba, was a member of the Belmar Fishing Club, loved to golf, and was a lifelong Yankees fan. He was inducted into the Seton Hall Athletic Hall of Fame as a baseball pitcher in 1984. Larry was a devoted parishioner of St. Clement Church. Above all, he was a loving father and grandfather.
He was predeceased by his wife, Dolores. Larry is survived by his children, Michael Falcon and his wife, Gerry of Nanuet, NY, Lori Ellis and her husband, John of Colts Neck, and Melissa Wallace and her husband, Thomas of Marlboro; eight grandchildren, Michael Falcon, Matthew Falcon, Taylor Falcon, Christopher Ellis, James Ellis, Joseph Ellis, Ryan Wallace, and Brady Wallace; a brother, Don Falcon and his wife, Carole of Whippany; and his late sister, Carol Nice, and her husband, Frank Nice of Verona, NJ.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, July 6, 2020 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at St. Clements Roman Catholic Church, 172 Freneau Avenue, Matawan, New Jersey, 07747.
