condolences to his family

Joe was a good and holy man with a great sense of humor. He was a member of the St. Veronica Men's Adoration Group and loved by all of us guys. He loved God, he loved his family and he loved America. Joe was a true patriot. Joe gave some of us guys Bishop Fulton Sheen's War time prayer book. I cherish it. Eternal rest grant unto Joe O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May the divine assistance be always with him and may the soul of Joe Oates and all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace amen. I salute you Joe.

Though I rarely saw him he was always good guy to talk to. Joanne you and your family are in my prayers.Your cousin John and Carol Lynch.

No nicer guy existed. Helped me with mechanical problems more than once. He was so fond of Adoration at Church, and the diner afterwards. A special guy.

An amazing life lived and lived honorably. Your legacy lives on through the family you’ve raised and through all the lives you e touched. God bless and look over the entire family. Rudy

“Hold on, I’ve got a tool for that..” Rest In Peace, Joe. We were blessed to have you as a neighbor for all of those years.

Our deepest condolences to Jane and your family. I smiled when I read about Joe being able to fix anything, His famous words, “I have a tool for that”. If you lifted the hood of your car, he would be across the street in seconds. Any snow storm, he would be out there plowing the neighborhood sidewalks. Joe Oates, you were a good man. I’m sure if anything needs to be fixed in heaven, God will know, you have a tool for that! Rest easy.
