Condolences
Bob was always the life of the party whenever we had the good fortune to be around him at Betty and George's family gatherings. We always made it a point to seek out some time with Bob as he always expressed genuine interest and caring whenever we met. It was obvious that Bob loved his family and friends and was loved in return. Our thoughts are with his family at this tough time.

I would like to extend my condolences to the Kirwan family, especially Mary. My thoughts and memories of Mr. Kirwan (Uncle Bob), will live on with me as well as with everyone he touched. I grew up with Kevin, we share the same birthday, and spent considerable time at the Kirwan’s house, mostly in the basement. Mr. Kirwan always treated me as part of the family and provided secondary fatherly advice.
Uncle Bob was very active with East Freehold Fire Department and helped Kevin and I join on our 18th birthday. He showed me around the firehouse, made sure I got my equipment and plectron radio, explained fire safety and how the pumper engines worked. Around this same time, since the legal drinking age was lowered to 18, he would offer Kevin and me gin gimlets around the kitchen table.
I remember the many birthdays and holidays at the Kirwan’s, where Uncle Bob and Aunt Mary were always gracious hosts. He especially, enjoyed Christmas and decorating the house with wreaths and lights which brought the true meaning of the holiday spirit. He was equally proud of his landscaping, where he had the best lawn in the neighborhood.
Robert Kirwan lead an exemplary life, was accomplished at his work, a volunteer to his community and a husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all and leaves an eternal legacy of his life to his children and grandchildren.
I hold so many happy memories of Mr. Kirwan at family events at Betty's house. He always had a smile, great stories and a kind word for everyone. His love and pride of his family shined through in everything he did. May your wonderful memories and love carry you through this difficult time. My love, thoughts and prayers are with the entire Kirwan family.

Bob was a wonderful man who always had time to listen and to share his wisdom with you. He would always lend a helping hand to any in need. His love for his wife and family were always first. He was the Fire Company Doctor always listening to symptoms and guiding you to the cure. Thank you Bob my friend for all you have done for many. RIP my friend
